When you are considering different asset classes to invest in, it is often confusing and quite easy to get lost in the details. Be clear on why you are investing and what does it mean to you. Typically most of the attention goes to return on capital but more important is the return 'of' capital or preserving your capital. But beyond that, you should also be able to find value and create impact. If it does not have a meaning and purpose for you beyond the financial gains, it is unlikely you will achieve long term success and that you will practice it in the long term.
